I'm about to start the OU course T189 which I've heard good reviews of. I thought some of it sounded a bit basic, but theres a weekly project which you receive feedback on which I think will be useful in developing my skills. Theres no formal qualification, but you get 10 credits towards a degree and its also " Recognised by The Royal Photographic Society (RPS) as suitable preparatory work and a foundation for a Licentiateship Distinction (LRPS) in still photography. For more information about the RPS visit their website www.rps.org"

I looked at a lot of online courses and on the whole wasn't very impressed with what was on offer, especially at the prices quoted.

The OCA courses also get quite a good report, I think they're affiliated with the OU.
