Greetings, like many this is my first post so here's a quick background on me. I am a mechnaical engineer by background and gained most of that experience in the army; more recently I am design manager at a cheshire based company.

Like many I began working with AutoCAD (Release 12) and moved forward through various versions with that until I recently started working on AutoCad 2008. I am now, however, a Solidworks convert!

I find Solidworks so easy to use that it is a revelation; I had been, mainly, a 2d autocad user but I have so enjoyed using Solidworks that I cannot envisage returning to Autocad. Don't get me wrong, I rate autocad; but I prefer Solidworks.

I look forward to bouncing ideas of each other.
