freelance ad's concept creator - looking for more information

Hello everyone,

I will appreciate your comments and advice for the following-

I am looking for professional information (e-books are the best options, as they tend to be complete) concerning being a "creative writer" for advertising, but with emphasize on being the one who creates the creative concepts only.

This is something between being a copywriter (who deals with words) and a creative designer/art director (who deals with the design).

I am willing to be the creative person behind the concept of the ad only (print, ambient, TV commercial, viral video, etc) and neither to deal with writing the words themselves, nor designing the ads- This is because I really like coming up with the creative concepts for the ads only.

On many occasions, both copywriters, and art/creative directors, play the role of the concept creators, yet, I want to provide a concept creation service only (as a freelance)

I had some "trouble" finding precise information dealing with such expertise, as most copywriting material and books deal with writing and most designing material deals with the tools the designers use.


Although I have some years of experience in the advertising industry, and also read many books on the subject, it is something I am willing to learn and improve, without any connection to the "on the field" experience.

I am aware to the fact that I can build a freelance profession around almost anything- writing slogans only, being a creative concept creator only, being a print ad consultant, etc, yet, really like to read, learn and perfect this fascinating world of creative concept creation (on a professional level) thus, looking for further material - eBooks, links, books, etc.

I will be thankful for any resource dealing with that specific freelance niche (being a freelance advertising concept creator, not "regular" copywriting or/and designing material)
