Default re: refund

hi alan,

sent you a pm.

issued refund.

i advised you by email some time ago that there will be
delays due to a bereavement.

i understand that you wanted the work earlier so no problems.

in previous emails you stated you were prepared to wait as i had to
travel etc....

not a problem though.

yours

Default refund

Stephen, and the Group.

I can confirm recipt of this refund.

However, I have no problem of your bereavement, and i made this very clear, what I had a problem was you making promises "I'll have it to you by next weekend" on two occasions, very infrequent communication, which made me very suspicious since I had made an upfront payment to you in good faith.

I suggest in the future if you are serious about providing a copywritting service, you have proper procedures in place and do not make promises you cannot keep.

I gave you the benefit of the doubt on two occasions, on my part I have done no wrong.

We all have business to run...

Best of luck, and again storry to hear about your beareavement.

Kind Regards

Alan

Default Ref: steve doyle refund

I will share with the group why I want a refund
This guy never keeps to his word it was October 2007 when I paid him a deposit.
He only replies to his email when he feels like it
Always more promises or sad stories
Agrees to refunds that never materialize
Next step is legal action
People need to understand they can’t just run of with other people’s money

peter,

as was stated in previous emails to you on
which you agreed, there were reasons out
of my control that had to take priority - whether
you believe them or not.

i suggest as my last email stated to email me
you bank details for a full refund.

i have no problem with refunds Peter, as i didnt
deliver however; i had good reasons.

the last email from yourself was to carry on with
the project?

as soon as i get your details there will be a full
refund of your £60.00 and i can assure you that
no one is trying to scam anybody for such a small
amount.

The amount of money is not the point

your words not mine, you also have my full address from earlier emails,
So it would have been very easy to pop a cheque the post.

hi peter,

i think the tone of your previous post suggests
that. i didnt receive any emails from you Peter.

i'm sorry peter that you have had to wait, and believe you and me
i am not full of "sad stories" some things happen out of your control
where you have to act.

email me your details i will acknowledge receipt; a payment
will be made swiftly.

as for threatening legal action on a forum?

I couldn't agree less. Most clients haven't a clue about spelling and grammar. They're business owners, not English teachers. They want something that's going to shift their products or build their brand.

Is it fair to say that anytime you post with your business name you should be as proffesional as possible so as to have the highest quality of web presence? Or is that nit-picking?
I assume the spelling on this is some kind of ironic joke?

Bill,

I'm not suggesting a Shakespeare will be reading your sales copy, but if you're a "professional" writer with several obvious spelling mistakes on a website that is promoting your services then you won't get too many clients.

That's just common sense... Isn't it?
