Hey all

I'm quite new to the forum. (Well actually i've been a regular for around the past year but i've never signed up before)

I'm a Graphic Designer who has recently gone freelance so now was the time to finally sign up to Freelance UK!

I'm after peoples opinions on my website (even some of my work if needs be) whether it be constructive criticism or bad criticism, all is welcome!

I will be on the forums looking for any sort of work to help promote my website and help to get myself more clients.

hi adam!

well i've just checked your site out and i like it! it's clear and effective and full of samples of your work...always a good thing!

i'm also just starting out as a freelance graphic designer/illustrator.
it's a scary move but i think it's definitely the way forward!

Overall I really liked the site. It's nice not to have to wait for ages for flash files to open etc.

As for the work, on the whole I was really impressed. There seems to be quite a range in terms of both content and, dare I say it, quality. Please don't take it the wrong way, but while I thought your Wiley Finance Catalogue was really stunning, the Optimum Organics logo seemed a little less professionally produced.

Anyway, I'm in no position to comment as my website isn't up and running yet!

Overall a really great platform from which to push your career forward.

Thanks for the reply! All opinions are welcome, good or bad!

I understand exactly what you mean about the difference in the jobs, theres one massive difference as well which is the hours spent on each one! The Wiley finance catalogue took 96 hours (it was redesigned 3x as well as re type setting it) and the Optimum Organics logo was a quick concept I knocked together in an hour or two. The two jobs were very different though, the logo was literally a quick concept to get out for a client to give them an idea of what they could be looking at, which didn't warrant a great of time spent over it. The catalogue on the other hand was an epic piece of work which took ages, but was worth it!

I appreciate the comments on the speed of the site as well, that was my main aim when creating it. I wanted to keep it simple and clean so people can flick through my work with ease and let my work do the talking so to speak.
