Default Need advice/feedback!

So first of all, I'm 16, from Leeds in Yorkshire and and aspiring to be a journalist. It's something I've planned and thought over, over the recent months and have decided it is something I really want to do. This is one of my first pieces of media report, if you like. It's a match report of Leeds United's game away to Yeovil tonight which Leeds won 1-0!

Anyway, negative/positive feedback more than welcome!

A record attendance of 9527 saw on loan striker Dougie Freedman score the only goal of the game in the third minute as United secure a play off position with the view of an automatic promotion spot dependant upon Leeds’ 15 points arbitration battle with the Football League.

The sunny south coast welcomed Leeds United to Huish Park for the first time in their history and United couldn’t have asked for a better start. A Frazer Richardson left footed cross resulted in Bradley Johnson hitting the crossbar; Dougie Freedman pounced upon the rebound and hooked the ball into the back of the net to put United ahead after only three minutes which sparked wild celebrations from the Leeds fans.

Yeovil failed to get a foothold of the game as United dominated possession and territory early on. Leeds took the game to the hosts with Jonathan Douglas going close from outside the box on 18 minutes.

Yeovil failed to capitalize after having a clear cut chance through Marvin Williams. A long ball forward found Williams who ghosted in behind the Leeds defence. Williams got in on goal one on one but Casper Ankergren was on hand to save and Williams put the rebound wide.

Leeds could have doubled their lead on 37 minutes; A Johnny Howson through ball found the run of Dougie Freedman who took a shot first time, only to be tipped over the bar from 12 yards out. Yeovil on 44 minutes should have bought the game level as Marcus Steward was unmarked 8 yards out, only to shoot straight at the Leeds goalkeeper Casper Ankergren.

Yeovil came out with a bit more fire in their general play and put Leeds under the pressure from the kick off.

On 54 minutes Bradley Johnson almost scored a long range effort. A 35 yard effort looked to be going in, only to go over by a matter of inches.

The attraction spell of Leeds United occurred again as Yeovil’s largest ever attendance at Huish Park of 9527 turned up for the Glovers final home game of the season.

Alan Sheehan was sent off for a two footed lunge tackle on the 65th minutes to put Leeds down to 10 men but Leeds started to raise their game and started to apply pressure on to the home team. McAllister reverted Leeds to a 4-4-1 formation.
A Neil Kilkenny corner was whipped in with some venom and Dougie Freedman failed to score from a yard out on the 81 minutes mark.

Yeovil started to make a desperate attempt to salvage a point at the very least, on 87 minutes a Terry Skiverton cross was volleyed towards goal by Aidan Downes and produced a tremendous save by the United goalkeeper Ankergren.

The fourth official added on a minimum of four minutes of added time as the Yeovil fans tried to roar their team back into the game only to be met by a chorus of “Marching On Together” from the traveling Leeds fans.

A late injury time chance for Yeovil arose as the Glovers applied pressure on to the visitors as Marcus Stewart blasted the ball over the bar to end any hopes of a Yeovil revival.

Yeovil: Mildenhall, Peltier, Skiverton, Forbes, Smith, Barry, Peters, Bircham (booked), Williams (Kirk 77), Downes, Stewart. Subs: Owusu, Jones, Guyett, Rose.
Leeds: Ankergren, Richardson, Michalik, Huntington, Sheehan (sent off 65) Kilkenny, Douglas, Howson, Johnson (Prutton 79), Freedman, Elding (Hughes 69). Subs: Marques, Lucas, Kandol.
Referee: Keith Stroud
Bookings: Bircham (Yeovil)
Off: Sheehan (Leeds).
Att: 9,527 (Huish Park record)

What you reckon?

Cheers.

Well I'm not aspiring to be a journalist or anything along those lines but I think it's a good decent report. If I read that in a newspaper or something I would be impressed

Keep it up mate!
