I am posting in order to gain a little clarity and thought you may be able to help ...
I am due to commence a PGDip/MA Journalism in September and, having been called to an interview I need some opinions from some of you. My interests lie in what I can only describe as 'documentary reporting' ... the form of journalism that one might find in obitiuaries or historical articles (say, when a film is released about a famous personality, one always finds articles in the magazines and papers of that week concerning that same personality or a certain quirky moment in their life). What I would like to know is how would you define this? What is what I am getting at called in terms of being a sector of journalsim? Please help, Regards, Patrick |
