Can I suggest if you are on a buget that you get a video instead, as you can take about a million stills from it.
I charge £500 for a video. By the way I am not available, just giving you advice. Although the picture quality of stills from video is very good it is not AS good as from a stills camera. Some photographers want £1200 for a wedding.

yeah, i would suggest just finding a family member or friend with a video camera and taking stills from the days footage. if you make a film instead not only do you have a more accurate interpretation of the days events but like baron said you can take loads of still shots from it aswell. all you need is somebody with a steady hand.
however, if your adament that you want a photographer i can offer my services for about £250. im currently studying a BA in photojournalism so weddings arent realy my thing but i can take damn good pictures. have a look at my website and contact me if you think im suitable. jacklaurenson.tk congratulations on your happy day by the way ![]() |

Hi there, just wanted to say that video still and photography are two different things and should not be mixed, yes you can take still images from a video man but come on , you surely do not think that you can have better photos from a video man than from a professional photographer whose business is to take wedding photography, unless of course he is really bad at what he does, which i must admit some are .
You should know this sevenoaksman, do not skimp on photography, it is what you will keep at the end of the wedding and in ten years time. Regards, Nuno Silva. |

I operate video camera and take still photograph.
I won't comment on which is better. It is such a typical question with open answers. Anyway, it is not clever to turn down the other professions. For a wedding, I don't see anything wrong with still photo or moving video. Of course the best is to have both. If budget is a problem, then it is totally a decision making matter. |
