The Ireland Network-Great Britain is looking for photos that capture the life of Irish people or their influence in Britain. This is your chance to explore this subject in all its facets and show the world.
Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals will be presented by the Irish Ambassador at the Irish Embassy in London on 27th January 2010. All qualifying entries will be published on IN-GB.co.uk and in the Irish Post newspaper. A selection of entries will form part of an exhibition at the Irish Centre in Camden during February 2010. Please visit www.in-gb.co.uk/snapshot for information on how to enter the competition and to view the competition rules. The competition starts on 1st November 2009 and the closing date for entries is 1st December 2009. Winners will be announced in December 2009. The competition will be judged by one of Ireland’s foremost photographers David Creedon. David has been described as “Cork’s Vermeer” and his work has been likened to poems in photographs. He has recently been nominated for the 2010 Deutsche Börse photography prize. |
