If I were to compile a book containing 1 peice of everyones best work with there name and a breif description ie. date - client - description. Then had it made up and sold it back to you as an entire book thus publishing your work, who would be interested?
A good peice to show at an interview. |

In principal, a good idea, but showing a book with several other people's work in (and only one of your own) is not as good as publishing an entire book of your own original work.
Unless you are a well established publisher then this idea only really benefits you (seeing as you would be selling the book back to the people who created the work in the first place) where as, people who get their work published, and then sell books containing their own work, tend to be the people getting paid - not the other way around. But like i say, its a good idea, in principle, but as an artist I wouldn't give something away for nothing and then have to pay to get it back when I could persue a book deal or published article else-where free of charge for the same purpose. |
