Animation software for iPad illustrations - what to use?

Hello,

I was wondering, if I wanted to get into animating my illustrations for the iPad (or iPhone or iwhatever), what animation software should I be looking at?

I know they don't support Flash. I'm guessing it's Quicktime / .MOV for the file format but I can't find a clear answer from Google, and I don't yet own an iwhatever. Just curious.

This isn't the best solution, but you could try making your animation as a .gif. Or if you own an iPad, check out Animation Creator HD.
