Hi, I'm currently running a start up and plan to outsource some work to a freelancer(1st time) - the work is niche and requires Chinese translation. My question is as a contractor do I have to worry about any insurances etc for my freelancer or do I just send an invoice once the work is complete? And are students under a tier 5 visas able to freelance in U.K.?

FreelanceUK has asked an expert to look into providing a response for you, on the FreelanceUK front-page.

However do you really really mean Tier 5? Because the expert says student visas normally come under Tier 4.
