    Hello,

There was something that i was a little skeptical about. I know it has been and is being talked about a lot, just wanted some views on what according to you a better online marketing technique, is it the e-mail marketing or the social media marketing? What according to you has a higher conversion rate?

All and any views are welcome.

    Thanks :)

I don't think they are really comparable. If you want to make sales, emails are the best, if you want to build up a relationship, then social media.

Email marketing is essential IMO as it is a very effective and cheap way to contact established customers and let them know about offers, as long as you have a database to use. Since you are emailing your current customers, you are likely to get a better conversion rate than other mediums.

Facebook ads are potentially good for getting new customers, especially since you can target specific demographics to a slightly frightening level. Saying that, I am not entirely convinced that Facebook ads work.

Facebook Pages and Twitter are best used in my opinion to build up a relationship with customers and make them like you, rather than to make specific sales. They are far better at this than emails, but they require you to put effort in - an unmaintained Facebook page won't really do anything - and the benefit in terms of sales may be hard to track.

While they are both forms of online marketing, there is not enough common ground for them to be compared fairly. Still, social media is fast on the rist, and email marketing seems to be going in the opposite direction, and this is a good consideration in choosing.

Yes both are part of online marketing. I think both have different types of impact. In case of email marketing you can directly offer the people that you provide. It is very good way for marketing. on the other hand you can gain a lot of traffic and increase your business by sharing various events. Having been active in social networking sites is an very important factor to increase your business.

    Answer:

Both are part of online marketing .Both are Important..Email marketing is directly marketing a commercial message to a group of people using email. whereas,
Social marketing is the systematic application of Marketing along with other concepts and techniques, to achieve specific behavioral goals for a social good.for me Social Marketing is Better then E-Mail Marketing until you have Genuine Customer E-Mails Base. :p
