    You spot an event that:

    -looks great/ reads great;
    -is relevant to you;
    -is affordable/not a rip-off;
    -could even help your business; AND
    -is local(ish)/you can get there!

    & then you read, you've bloody MISSED IT...??!?!?!?! :mad:
    This is what I'm talking about:

    What I want to know; do I blame FreelanceUK for not telling me about it, or the event organisers!? 'Both' I hear you cry!? OK no problem, I will!!!!

    Grump over

    Ugh, yes. Last year I went to an event at the Islington Business Design Centre which should have been relevant to my work, and turned out to be not very. But downstairs there was a trade fair with a lot of companies in a field I actually have a natural bias towards, where I could have made some very useful contacts *and* found it interesting as well. But I wasn't allowed to go in: it was pre-registration only. Grrr ... Thanks for reminding me: I must see if it's on again this year.

    And that also reminds me that I need to find out more about the sci-tech fair down in Maidstone. It's a trek, so I don't want to go down there unless it's likely to be of real benefit.

    Has anyone found an effective way of signing up for notifications of trade fairs and so on? I've signed up with a few London venues, but not much beyond that.
