    Hi all,

I'm new to the forum and apologies for the lengthy post, I am looking for some help in placing a job vacancy. We are a fabrication business based in West Yorkshire who specialise in street furniture and security products, at the moment we currently work to our customers designs which we have the right skill set and facilities to make most light fabrications varying from seat and planter to shelters etc to a very high standard in both mild and stainless steel. We are regularly asked for bespoke fabrications and alternatives but here's where we have the problem.
We work using sketch up and various sketches and ideas floating from between the office and fabrication team so when it comes to order laser cut parts etc there is sometime confusion from our laser cutters as we don't have the skills to send them direct files from cad etc.
Secondly when we come to make the same product again we might as well start from scratch as we don't have the correct parts list/drawings to work to.

So in short were looking for someone to revise existing drawings and help develop new products, use of solid works or similar would be a great help but not essential as 2d cad and generall knowledge of fabrication would get us on the right track, so finally what job title do I advertise ? is there an industry title that would cover this role. And what salary/hourly rate would I be looking at.

    Thanks in advance
