Hello! I'm new on Freelance UK. I would love to hear your advice on how to get more work coming my way. i have never been commissioned before but run an online shop Alice Rebecca Potter Design and Illustration by AlicePotter with a little success.

You can view my complete portfolio on my website Main : AlicePotter

I have recently been applying to agents but have so far had no success.
Is there any other routes of attack I can take?

    Any advice is much appreciated.

    Alice

    Hi Alice,

great work, have you tried the gift wrap market, Paperchase etc, or greeting card companies. Send out samples to the creative directors, as printed images, follow up with a phone call to make an appointment. Target a publication where you think your style would sit and be persistent. Take on a percentage of voluntary projects to keep things moving, things often spin off from that. Hold a small exhibition of your work combining with other illustrators/creatives at local gallery/marketplace or 'craft' fair.

Let me know how things go

    Peter
