Is buying solar panels tax-deductable?

I'm a freelance who works from home, but might be in a position to invest in solar panels [to power the home and office] with business funds.

Can I write what might amount to a sizeable investment off against tax?

Any advice would be much appreciated. :happy

Does the HMRC guide say anything different to the expert's answer?

 

Apparantly not, it is quite the same answer.

 

I was wondering the same thing as Glebe_Digital.

Maybe both are same but I prefer to go with HMRC because it is authentic, valid and up to date info.
