Is there any new activity helpful in improving kewords ranking?

Hi friends
I have a problem and want you to give you suggestions.

I have a website and its most of the keywords were on 1st or 2nd page untill google first algo update happened in January 2011. After that most of the keywords just disappeared. Some of the keywords which were on first page are still no where in 100 position.

I am sure google new update was about quality content. Since then i have been very careful about the quality of content and doing all other seo activites like article submission, blog posting, Bookmarking, using social netowrks, blog commenting, Rss submission etc. But there is not effect on my keywords ranking.

Guys what i want to know is that is there any new activity which is useful in improving the ranking of keywords.

Check how you have your pages optimized in relation to your keywords. Sometimes something as simple as an image can hurt your rankings.

 

you try to do 100-200 social bookmarking links every day for a particular keyword, i am sure you will get your site listed for that keyword in top 10 of Google.com

 

Google new update mainly hit the article marketing technique. All your backlinks of article or contents submission will be hit by this new update.

 

Well according to me blog commenting and blog posting are two of the most ever green activities in world of SEO that are used for increasing the ranks of the website with in the search engine.
