Hello, I'm new to this forum and would like to ask some advice about changing my career path. I've been working in greetings and gift licensing illustration for a number a years but am feeling I need a change. I have recently joined a group art studio and had a few meetings with the business manager there, to discuss my future career development. I've been deliberating about making the change towards childrens book illustration, (probably black and white illustrations for the junior book market) and I need to do some research into how possible that move would be. Would anyone be able to advise me on the best way to approach this and tell me whether concentrating solely on black and white children's book illustrations would be financially viable?
