New to websites, looking for feedback.

Hi everyone

I have just built a website in iweb for my new company and as I am new to this I wanted to get some feedback and find out ways i could improve it. One of the things I am having trouble with is getting my website seen on yahoo or google search engines. I would love to hear your opinions and thoughts on this. Thanks in advance.

Your site looks very clean and professional. It seems user friendly and I like how you have grouped you work into areas e.g. leaflets, logos etc.

When you say problems with your site appearing on google & yahoo search engines do you mean it you cannot find it when searching by name? I tried searching for your company name on google and it didn't pop up, I'm afraid I don't know the answer to this.

I too have just set up a site as I aim to set up my own freelance company asap, I'm currently working in a design office for a large company.
I would love feedback, I've had to use a template website so I've been limited on layout. My aim is to have an online presence in the form of a blog and an online folio which I will update as regularly as possible.

I'd also love help on uping my google rating if anyone has any ideas on how to get my site higher up on search engine listings and get more viewers.

Firstly neat work there, like the color combination.
Secondly i m not too sure, but SEO (search engine optimization) might be of some help for getting an appearance and ranking in search engines, for example you could carry out keyword analysis, competitor site analysis, or forum - blog commenting/posting, social media marketing are a few.

I have entirely redesigned the company blog at : The Sharepoint, Dynamics AX & Dynamics CRM blog | Cognitive Group and I would like request some feedback as well. In my opinion it looks pretty decent but I would be interested in what others think of it.

the design is very clean but kinda slow, i think you can fix that ! otherwise the website is user friendly, you have just to start working your seo now goodluck

 

Over all as a basic website you did a pretty good job. However further practice and experimenting will enhance your skills more. Everyone has his own views and from my point of view one of the fastest ways to make a website look more professional and unique is choosing the right font. You did a good job there.
