I keep on delaying buying one of these, and have been using 'Yousendit.com' instead, but now have a file which is too large.

Is one more reliable, versatile than the other? What do you recommend?

I recommend some cheap hosting. Zip the file up, upload it and send your client a link to download it.

Yes, thank you, but what with?? 'STUFFIT' OR ZIPIT? I haven't got a program that condenses files at the moment, or am I being dense?

    Hello pingsweetie -

Haven't you got the BOM Archive Helper on your Mac? This is the default compression utility - which comes bundled with any version of OSX - and has worked fine for me so far...

    I wholeheartedly agree with semidelacon..

Select the file to be compressed, go to 'file' and select 'compress(filename).'

    Sweet!

(that's if you're lucky enough to be using mac :)

Or, right click the file and from the "Send To" menu choose "Compressed (zipped) Folder" - if you are lucky enough not to be using a Mac :)

Thanks guys, I AM probably only the only person on the planet I'm sure who hasn't heard of BOM. Now to find my OSX disk...
