    Hello everyone,

I am setting up on my own and offerring various services. One of which is basic web design/info sites for very small businesses. I was going to use Wix but it doesnt allow export of the website. So, what platform allows you to build multiple websites for people and export them so that they may be FTP'd elsewhere.

I have had a look at Weebly and Squarespace but cannot see anywhere where the sites can be exported, even though a comparison website suggests they can. Any help/pointers are greatly appreciated, many thanks.

    James.

Im still looking and wondered if anyone has any experience with paymonthlyhosting.co.uk - looks like they offer quite a bit more for a lot less, so I am wondering if there is a catch somewhere? Any advice or experiences appreciated.

    Hi,

If I was you and you are going to be offering website design. To stay well away from sites like Wix.com. They are not good for building websites, plus why would someone pay you to do something they can do.

    Check out Wordpress.org

James, I assume you mentioned this hosting company because they have web builders and web design services? My first reaction is that your post comes across as incredibly spammy, and my second is that I have never heard of this hosting company and I'm sure their website builders are also incredibly basic and easy enough for anyone to use. If you are starting a web design company, you need to stay away from the stuff that people can do for themselves, like what Doug said. You need to establish yourself as different and give people a reason to come to you, other than that they don't have the time to do the work themselves.

According to me, wix.com is the better platform to build your website. This platform has various techniques to improve your site.

Yes, Wix is a good platform for website building. Along with Wix, I will recommend:
    • UltimateWB
    • Webflow
    • Shopify
    • Carrd
