Hi everyone I have recently submitted a short children's story to a publishing company and they have come back saying it has passed the initial stage. However, they have asked me about the illustrations. They are saying I have 2 choices: A. Get their illustrators to do it (which is likely to cost me a fortune) B. Source my own illustrator. I do not have the money for either of these options so it looks like the project will just be shelved. My best friend died on Saturday and I would like to do something for him and for a Cancer charity. Therefore, I am looking for someone who would work with me to illustrate the book for free/a nominal sum on the basis that any money made from it goes to charity. I realise that I probably won't be able to find anyone but I decided to ask before abandoning the project entirely. If you are interested, or know someone who might be, please reply to this post.
