Hi there,
I've been working as a digital designer for over 5 years, but am now new to the freelancing world (well, I freelanced for about 3 months a while back but now I wanna go for a lot longer, Anyway....) I've just updated my site, any feedback would be greatly appreciated and also any tips on getting my name out there and getting work, I know I'm going to have to start from the bottom up - it's not really money but creative work that I'm after. Fluid-Lab 2.5 be critical - I can take it - thanks! -ShinK ![]() |

Comments on your site -
UPS - Love the pixels into text transition on the intro page - could be quicker though - Love many of the MOTION examples - amazing work! - I am a fan of blur transitions - yours really add to the site DOWNS - The pixel fonts on the intro page are not as crisp as they should be - LOADING/COMPLETE sequence does not feel part of the rest of the site - The gallery thumbnails that move around look great, but if they were more fluid they would be fantastic - The grey text explaining the sections is far too difficult to read - When you are viewing any of your work in the pop-up boxes on top of your site, the site underneath is still responsive to your mouse actions - could you disable this? Overall I think this is a great site - very sophisticated, and you are far far better at Flash than me, but the downside is that you have packed too much in, added too many bells and whistles, and the attention to detail is not quite there. More emphasis on design - less emphasis on Over-complicated Flash sequences for the sake of it! I hope this helps, keep up the good work!

I think the site looks really good with some great flash animations.
If i were you, on the homepage, i would consider moving the text about you/the site from the right of the site title to below the grey box. When you visit the site its not obivous what its all about as that text doesnt really invite you to read it. Also, your contact page doesnt accept @ characters in the email address field. Have you started to look at search engine optimisation - not easy with a flash site. I would recommend you expand your page title to list a few keywords (ie flash design, banner design etc...). With ASP.NET you can render different content for search engine robots as oppose to normal users (that way you could just display the flash for human users) and HTML for the robots. Also have you got any testimonials on there? If youve done work for E4 etc then a few testimonials scattered about would really add credibility Good luck |

Hi
I am really impressed by this site. Really does put mine to shame. I run my own web design company and have a lot of overflow work at the moment. I would be delighted to speak to you about referring some onto you? Many Thanks
