Description
Flight Centre UK seeks a dynamic, innovative, web designer for a full time contract position, working on-site.

We’re searching for that talented, driven, code-centric wizard who’s ready and capable of designing and building projects for use by millions of people.

Common tasks would include:
Day to day website design and maintenance including development of new graphics & banners to use within Flight Centre UK | Cheap flights, holiday packages, hotels, car hire, touring and travel insurance and development of campaign pages; Use of CMS to maintain web design elements; Usability assessment and recommendations and development and implementation of creative standards. Online Advertising including development of online advertising creative e.g. banners, skyscrapers, MPU’s; Design and development of e-newsletter templates. Development and Design of Microsites including design of microsite pages; Development of page structure in CMS using HTML; Development of some graphics/maps using Flash.

All applications must understand the significance of innovative and effective design solutions and have a strong portfolio to prove it. Please send sample urls.

Skills and Capabilites
Has good visual taste and design sensibilities, and can create new designs/layouts from an established aesthetic
Expertise to hand-code valid XHTML / CSS
Knowledge and experience with CMS Systems
Fluency with Photoshop / Fireworks / Flash
Experience with compatibility / cross-platform and browser designs and experience developing SEO friendly code
A solid understanding of designing intuitive site functionality, interaction, site architecture, user interfaces, and navigation.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and respond quickly to changing priorities
