Default Hey

Hey mate,

Congratulations on starting up your site, I think you need to think about your structure more.

What I mean by this is that I would not put so much writing on your homepage, I would leave this to eye-catching graphics, and for navigating to other parts of your site.

I would put your contact information on it's own page, not everyone will read the "about" bit, once they can see you can do the job, they will want to contact you, and maybe too busy to read every page of your site.

I would also not have those white boxes on the right hand side, unless they contain information, as they look as if you have forgotten something, and if you do that with your own work, will you do it with your clients?

Does the 01, 02, 03 etc at the top of the page refer to anything, if they relate to the pages within your website, then put the page names in there, ie "contacts", "company profile" "portfolio".

Your portfolio needs to be easier to navigate to from your homepage, as your reputation will be made on your work and not necessarily on what you have to say.

I am no expert at website design, as I can not even do my own, but it is a few things that I have noticed with yours, I hope you see my points as constructive.

Good luck

Nice site.. it's not easy being green, but you've done it with style and grace.

Definitely temporarily hide sections that are "under construction" and make your fonts and layout consistent between pages. Ideally if you can switch away from a table-based layout, you reduce the risk of the Googlebot suffering a choking death while indexing your site.

Just a picky formatting thing really....

The fonts should be the same for the body copy on each page - preferably starting at the same point on the page.

Have you asked anyone to proof read the copy??

Finally - Blue and green should never be seen together - I would change the font colour of 'Welcome to CADtechuk'

Damn good start though - I am about to build my first site & it is likely to be pants!
