Hello Forum!

Has anyone used MediaWiki on an administrative level? I want to know how easy it is to modifiy to suit my webmastering needs.

Hi,

I have used MediaWiki for several projects and it is a really great application. You should be able to read its code and modify it with ease, I have never had problems doing it.

However, adding entirely different functionality could be a real pain, and if your project requires lots of features that are not part of the "core" MediaWiki functionality, I would suggest searching for another open-source app, or develop your own script, from scratch.
